HSBC - Little Investor
Benito transports us to a vibrant, sunny city with JWT to promote HSBC's Global Investment Centre. He brings his enchanting and authentic touch to the spot, filling it with a lively cast of characters to tell the story of a wise little boy with an impressive work ethic and an even more impressive collection of piggy banks.
The boy whizzes around town on his bike, cutting grass, washing cars and walking dogs for cash, no doubt collecting a few extra tips for being adorably cheeky. While most children would immediately rush out and spend their money on toys, ice cream or something else not entirely sensible, he does the smart thing and saves up his hard-earned money.
Playing on HSBC's reputation as a bank with major know-how in global investments, this boy is given an extra bit of financial savvy: he drops his money into internationally themed piggy banks, knowing that the future of investment is all about going global. This is a child who clearly has it all figured out.
Pocket money goes global in 'Little Investor', Benito Montorio's new spot for HSBC with JWT.

Nike JORDAN - Cut Through L.A.
Andreas Nilsson brings special effects to life for Nike Air Jordan with Wieden + Kennedy to unveil the new Jordan CP3.VI shoe designed by LA Clippers basketball star Chris Paul. He orchestrated a spectacular two and a half minute live installation on Los Angeles' Venice Beach, fusing performance with the art of stop motion animation to create a live "frozen moment" with Paul and a cast of lookalikes.
Styled identically to Paul in matching jerseys and shorts, the lookalikes stand frozen simultaneously in a sequence of moments that, when seen together, read as a living animation of Paul moving through the space and wreaking havoc on LA with a basketball. The complex scene was meticulously planned to create a completely new branding experience, allowing Andreas to pull off the seemingly impossible physical effects in the story with immense precision. With the help of supports, the basketballs, bicycles and other objects appear to float in mid air as Chris seemingly runs through wet cement and up a vertical surface before smashing the ball through a glass basketball hoop backboard.
The one-off installation was performed live in on Venice Beach and captured on film to allow the entire world to experience the awe-inspiring event up close.

E.ON - Kettle
Tomas Makovsky has already proved he knows how to pull a heart string or two with charming, emotion-charged short films and commercials, and now he puts these finely honed skills to use in a touching new spot for energy provider E.ON with DLKW. He shows how important even the most common household appliance, the humble kettle, is in bringing people together. From a builder's hard-earned tea break to a child's comforting hot water bottle, we all rely on our kettles for those moments when we need a little cheering up or calming down.
Tomas takes us into homes of a series of characters sharing special moments together, employing an ethereal semi-transparent effect that allows the characters to reach through walls and lends the narrative a fluid quality. The kettle is a constant presence throughout the spot, passing through the hands of various characters and seamlessly connecting their individual stories. A cosy and relaxed atmosphere is created with warmly lit rooms and intimate angles, all beautifully captured by sought-after young cinematographer Justin Brown.

IKEA - Playin' With My Friends
Dougal's new spot for Ikea with Mother London celebrates the fun of getting everyone together around the dinner table. Set to a very catchy track, "Playin' With My Friends" by rising British act Masters In France, the spot is a colourful trip around the kitchen and through a child's imagination, showing us what hosting a dinner party looks like when the kids are in charge. The little chefs are joined by a cast of larger-than-life characters who give them a furry helping hand with getting dinner on the table, because who wouldn't want to sit down to dinner with a monkey, a robot and a dinosaur once in a while?
The lively spot shows how Ikea can help adults get kids involved around the kitchen, as part of their new campaign focusing on the way people use their homes. The campaign is based on a series of playful music video/commercial hybrid films accompanied by music from up-and-coming bands, with 30 and 60 second versions created for television and full-length music videos for the web.

John Lewis - The Journey
Following the lasting mark their captivating spot 'The Long Wait' made on public consciousness last Christmas, Dougal Wilson and adam&eveDDB return to usher in the festive season by giving us the gift of another enchanting film for John Lewis.
The star of the spot is an intrepid snowman with extraordinary powers. As we all secretly hope when we say good night to a snowman we've lovingly constructed, he comes to life when the family is fast asleep, but even more incredible is how thoroughly charming this snowman is. He's a real gentleman with a flair for romance and a taste for adventure.
The story shows us how far this particular snowman will go to demonstrate his love to his equally charming companion. Braving blizzards, icy streams and towering mountain peaks, the snowman embarks on an epic quest to find the perfect gift that will put a smile on her face, and all before the sun comes up.
The film was shot by cinematographer Eduard Grau in beautifully wintery surroundings, with MPC helping to create the spot's spellbinding atmosphere. Dougal encapsulates all the warmth and magic of Christmas in his trademark cinematic style, leaving us with a meaningful message about the power of love and a little bit of that restless excitement Christmas brings out in each and every one of us.

KFC - Feel The Krush
In his new film with BBH celebrating the minty new Aero flavour of KFC's Krushems, Bastian takes to the streets of Cape Town with a living crush of colour. He decorates the city with an innovative blend of human graffiti and street dance, building vibrant sculptures from tangles of brightly dressed performers. Knitting together around trees, piling on top of moving bicycles and stacking themselves into human pyramids, the performers bring a jolt of unexpected cheer to the busy streets.
The spot marries DOP Federico Alfonso's laid back visuals with Bastian's avant-garde aesthetic and KFC's well-established, feel-good approach to advertising. The result is simple- a refreshingly fun spot that is surely set to spark outbursts of technicolor improv all around.

According to the ancient Mayan calendar, December 21st 2012 marks the day the Earth will be destroyed and all human life will cease to exist forevermore. So, if the rumour is true and 21-12-2012 really is the day it all ends, surely there's only one thing to do?

Written by Boys & Girls and produced by Blinder in Dublin, the teasers celebrate the festival's reputation for bringing a thrilling line-up of movies to the audience.
Shot by award-winning cinematographer Edouard Grau, the two 30' spots each paint a suspenseful filmic scenario interrupted by a surprise appearance from a viewer, popcorn and all. Meet Gary. He's an ordinary guy. Or rather, he was an ordinary guy until Speck/Gordon and Mother showed up. In their new spot announcing that the geniuses at moneysupermarket.com can save you £1000 on your household bills, the duo show you just how much better your life could be with what can only be called a touch of price comparison magic.

In fact, Gary feels so epic that his whole life suddenly becomes at least 1000% more awesome. Speck/Gordon use their comedy skills to transform him into a wispy-haired superstar of his very own 80s detective show in the style of Magnum P.I, 'The £1000 Man', with a catchy theme tune to match. He gets to do all sorts of cool things like blowing up buildings whilst wearing a squirrel costume, fighting ninjas and breaking into a bad-guy filled bank vault with only a credit card, all because he's £1000 richer.
The full spot also comes in the format of 20-second extended versions of the vignettes featured in the montage, showing all the areas you can save money in from home insurance and credit cards to car insurance. Which you'll be glad you have, because you never know, someone like Gary might just end up setting your car on fire.
Shot in Los Angeles in full retro glory by DoP Jess Hall, who has worked with Speck/Gordon on many of their commercials and features, the spot has all the top-notch action and smart humour you'd expect from Josh and Will. A cool 80s-style montage was put together by Cut + Run and a saturated VHS-inspired look was achieved by The Mill. Doesn't it all make being sensible with money seem so much more fun?

Adam Buxton - Party Pom Pom
For his brand new comedy-meets-music-video series on Sky Atlantic HD "Adam Buxton's BUG", Adam talks about the art of making videos and shows a few of his favourites along with the You Tube commentary that we have all grown to love at his live BUG shows at the BFI on London's Southbank.
For the TV series, Adam chose to collaborate with a handful of is favourite directors to create a series of very special videos to accompany a number of his own songs.
Originally written for his BBC 6Music show with Joe Cornish, Adam gave his video game trash-talk anthem 'Party Pom Pom' a rowdy dubstep makeover, and asked Dougal Wilson to lend his directing talent to the video. It stars a gang of adorable, bug-eyed kids taunting a bearded mini-Buxton in a video game face-off and dancing like they've just eaten all the blue Smarties.
Known for being one of the most endearing directors in the business, Dougal extracts priceless performances from the scrappy kids and mixes in some creative practical effects for a raucous take on juvenile rivalry, all wrapped up in that classic Dougal charm.

His first three music videos all screened at BUG, where they were called 'charming' and 'bonkers' and then 'charming' again, after which he was nominated for Best New Director at the UK Music Video Awards, and went on to make videos for the Guillemots and Fatboy Slim.
He has made commercials with Wieden+Kennedy, Havas Worldwide and VCCP for clients including Three Mobile and V05.
Tom's debut feature film 'Black Pond' was released to huge critical acclaim and nominated for a host of awards, including the BAFTA for Outstanding Debut. Along with his co-director Will Sharpe, Tom was named one of Variety's top ten European directors to watch, and won the Evening Standard Film award for Best Newcomer.

The spot tells the story of a long drive through the dark night, when dangerous tiredness usually creeps in. But thanks to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class' unique ability to help keep drivers awake and alert, the dreams find themselves left out in the cold. Mixing a spellbinding filmic atmosphere with an unexpected hit of surrealist comedy, 'Dreams' takes a simple idea to a whimsical and memorable conclusion. The ad was awarded a Cannes Lion in 2009.

Lotto - Castle
Everyone has a plan for how they'd spend their lottery winnings, just in case they find themselves with that wonderful problem one day. A castle, a fast car, a sports team. The usual suspects. But things get out of hand for one daydreamer in Björn's new spot for Lotto, finding his fantasy overrun by outlandish impulse buys. Starring 90s heartthrob Chesney Hawkes (who hasn't aged a day), the playful story reminds us all to be careful what we wish for. If only.

Blink sign Bjoern Ruehmann
We are excited to announce that acclaimed director Björn Rühmann has joined the Blink roster.
German-born Björn first found success as a creative at TBWA Paris, working on a series of award-winning international campaigns. He launched his directing career in 2007 as co-founder of lauded directing collective The Vikings, whose work attracted over 100 international awards. With films such as the funny yet poignant 'Power of Wind' for energy company Epuron, which was the second most awarded commercial worldwide in 2007 and counted a Cannes Gold Lion and an honourable mention at Sundance amongst its accolades, Björn ventured out on his own as a director.
Björn has continued to create powerful and endlessly imaginative commercials, exploring the unexpected through his ambitious, unusual and emotionally sensitive work. His background as an art director shines through in masterfully crafted imagery. A dexterity with both comedy and drama, he creates distinctive worlds that reflect the intricacies of human life.
He has directed commercials for clients including Cadbury's for Fallon, Puma for Droga5 and Mercedes-Benz for Jung von Matt. He took viewers back to a historic moment of comedic epiphany for Cravendale, imagining the first time a man decided to milk a cow. His 80-second ad 'Rise', a sweeping and visceral portrait of the American Revolution accompanying the release of the highly anticipated video game Assassin’s Creed III, garnered over 35 million views online in a single week. Most recently, Björn has completed Dell ‘Thomas’ with Y&R New York, showing how seemingly boring train journeys can be made productive.

Marie Curie - Symmetry
Following the success of his award-winning Meet The Superhumans spot, Tom Tagholm delivers a beautiful and moving film raising awareness of leading end-of-life-care charity Marie Curie Cancer Care. The film is part of DLKW LOWE's campaign promoting Marie Curie's upcoming fundraising initiative, the Great Daffodil Appeal. Tom was drawn to the idea of offering a positive perspective, saying "the charity is very special and I thought the optimism of the idea was interesting."
The spot highlights the importance of the care Marie Curie nurses provide for terminally ill patients, focusing on the equally significant value of kindness and compassion at the end of life as at the beginning. Intimate and delicately shot moments of people at both stages of life are woven together to create a touching portrait of the kind of support Marie Curie Cancer Care can offer. The film takes a heartfelt approach to a sensitive subject, its message enhanced by quietly uplifting sound from Envy and a subtle warm atmosphere created by MPC.

NFU - Tea
Stuart Parr directs the brand new TV campaign for NFU Mutual with Grey London. To celebrate the brand’s commitment to taking time with customers and their reputation for attention to detail, they fittingly called on Stuart's unique vision. Known for his strikingly detailed visual style and ability to turn ordinary materials into arresting graphic compositions, Stuart illustrates the powerful effect of viewing life from a closer perspective, employing strong, cinematic photography and sharp sound design.
The ever so crisp shots in 'Tea' focus on each step of the often rushed process in minute detail, showing that sometimes slowing things down can be a beautiful thing. From swirling tea leaves to a cloud-like splash of milk, Stuart breaks the familiar ritual of making a cup of tea down into a sequence of gloriously abstract images, turning the whole thing into a rather poetic affair.

Anchor - The Life Of Our Kitchen
It's a well known fact that the kitchen is the true heart of the home. It's a place we gather in, where we catch up on the life's ups and downs over morning toast, late night cups of tea and sneaky tastes of cake batter in between. When you think about it, we really do spend a lot of time in our kitchens.
This new spot from Tom Tagholm and CHI & Partners for beloved breakfast favourite Anchor takes a look at how moments both big and small add up to make our kitchens home. The ad celebrates 30 years in the life of one kitchen, as a family grows – and grows up – within in it. It's all there, from the celebrations and misadventures to questionable boyfriends and priceless "you had to be there" moments.
The playful nature of the film comes through in the narration as well as the performances, and the faintly nostalgic visual style adds to the relatable nature of the story. The circular panning effect of the fly-on-the-wall (or rather, on the kitchen table) camera gives the story a sense of motion and passing time, illustrating the truly special place the kitchen has in all our lives.
A family, a kitchen and 30 years of everyday life makes for a lot of stories in Tom's new spot for Anchor

Three - The Pony
Dougal Wilson directs a new TV ad for Three, created by Wieden+Kennedy and carrying the message of ‘Silly stuff. It matters.’
Filmed in the Shetlands, the spot is set to the much loved 80’s track, ‘Everywhere’ by Fleetwood Mac, and stars Socks, one of the Shetland Isles’ famed ponies. With a scrape of a hoof and a flick of his Rod Stewart-esque mane, Socks breaks into an effortless moonwalk across a picturesque Scottish field.
The seemingly frivolous act of sharing a funny clip or clever photo with a friend online is the core idea behind Three’s new advertising campaign. The ad builds on Three’s appreciation for the country’s love of sharing – aiming to bring a smile to inboxes, newsfeeds and Twitter streams across the UK.
The spot's golden-hued visuals were captured by award-winning DoP Lasse Frank and the seamless visual effects were created by MPC.

Safestore - I Will Return
Imagine how hard it is for a child who suddenly finds all his stuff packed up into boxes and whisked away. Inevitable separation anxiety is followed by tears, lots of tears. But Dougal Wilson turns this usually sad story around, taking trust to an epic, stirring level with WCRS in his charming new spot for Safestore.
With his unique talent for extracting emphatic performances from young actors, Dougal creates a captivating, lighthearted story based on the strong bond between a little boy and his teddy bear. But this child is no wimp. He's a hero in the face of uncertainty, a warrior heading into battle, bolstered by his faith in the people who will look after his beloved things for a couple of months. It's pretty powerful stuff.
Dougal masterfully captures the earnest emotions of childhood, where every moment feels well and truly monumental. In this endearingly witty take on the Hollywood epic movie, he shows us how different things can be with a twist: a little bit of reassurance.
The story starts out with a rousing, rain-soaked speech, making us wonder who exactly this kid is trying to spur on, before things take a surprising turn as the setting is revealed. The classical soundtrack and dramatic atmosphere are reminiscent of a full-blown blockbuster movie, everything about it is epic. But there, in a box, is the boy's most prized possession. His teddy. It all becomes clear: if this little boy can trust Safestore with something so precious, then they can truly be trusted with anything.
The spot's impressive visuals were captured by 'A Single Man' cinematographer Eduard Grau and another dose of epic-ness was added by MPC in post.

Lurpak - Lightest
Lurpak and Wieden+Kennedy are giving healthy food a bright and cheerful makeover with their new campaign for Lurpak® Lightest Spreadable, and they wisely brought in Dougal to help them spread the word. Fresh from an incredible year rounded off by his immensely popular 'The Long Wait' for John Lewis, Dougal lends his uniquely charming touch to a good cause: getting people to eat more vegetables.
Celebrating cooking in its most vibrant form, we're reminded that healthy food doesn't have to be boring. In fact, with the help of past collaborators such as editor Joe Guest and art director Andy Kelly, Dougal makes it look downright spectacular. There's also a catchy little ditty that'll stay in your head all day, with the stars of the show providing not only a riot of colour but musical accompaniment as well.
Watch the video, sing along and get chopping! But watch your fingers...

Nike - Music Runs Ellie
As part of a collaboration between Nike and Ellie Goulding, Paul joined the super-fit singer on tour and created a film with AKQA London. He followed Ellie on a few casual runs around LA, New York and London because apparently, between playing huge gigs she also found time to train for Nike+ London's Music Half Marathon.
Set to a remix of Ellie’s hit "Under The Sheets", the film combines footage of Ellie's live shows with a glimpse into her secret life as a running addict, drawing parallels between a "runner's high" and the thrill of performing to crowd.
